Screenshot not working on Mac OS

On Mac OS X, you can take a screen capture of the entire screen with Command + Shift + 3 and you can take a screen capture of just a selection (or a window) with Command + Shift + 4 

 If your screenshot seems to be broken, it is likely the pictures are just not appearing on your screen.

 The solution is to restart the computer and you'll see all the screenshots you have recently taken.

If Firefox keeps quitting, you can try these things. 1. Restart Mac in Safe Boot Mode 2. Download Firefox again, and when it asks if you want to replace the copy you already have, say yes. The second fix worked for me on both Macbook and Mac Mini. What is safe mode?
